It's a boy!

I knew yesterday would change my life forever in many ways. Obviously, whether or not I knew baby was a boy, it is a boy, but having that knowledge is pretty amazing. I'm going to be the mother of one girl and one boy. I get to experience raising a woman and raising a man. That's pretty incredible. There are so many things to think about, from circumcisions to a boy's bedroom...fostering a positive relationship between my son and daughter to playing sports...being "fair" to both children to embarking on a new breastfeeding relationship with a boy. In a way, it will be kinda like becoming a mom for the first time all over. This is definitely an exciting challenge...but a challenge for sure. I hope I can raise a man who can one day be independent, be a father, be respectful of women, etc. Just so many things to think about!! Perhaps I'll start by planning out his bedroom and buying some baby clothes. Those are the easy things :-)
